World Town Planning Day 2023: LEARN GLOBALLY, APPLY LOCALLY
Planners, urban designers and place-makers attended the 74th World Town Planning Day 2023 virtual conference, hosted by the APA, CIP, and APA’s International Division on November 8, 2023.
This online conference discussed the urban and regional planning challenges faced by Ukraine. The importance of involving citizens in planning and the urgency of rebuilding Ukraine was emphasized. Various organizations’ works, including the Rebuilding Action Group, Osk, and Saddos, were presented. The need for ethical processes when dealing with traumatized populations was highlighted. The conference concluded with a call for more involvement from municipalities and organizations in rebuilding efforts.
