September 19, 2024 — The 2024 EDI Insight Survey Report provides an updated snapshot of the Canadian planning profession, offering new information on CIP members’ demographics and their feelings of inclusion and belonging. The report also captures CIP’s continued commitments to EDI, highlighting our past, current and future initiatives in support of a profession that is genuinely representative of our society.

Wyle Baoween (he/him) works with leaders and their teams to build diverse and inclusive organizations. He is the CEO at Inclusivity, a Canadian consulting firm providing data analytics to address inequalities in our communities and workplaces.

Wyle has been recognized as one of Canada’s thought leaders in equity, diversity and inclusion for the solutions he has developed and re-engineered, including technology for assessing unconscious bias, the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Culture Change Curve, and data analytics for EDI.

Wyle holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), a certificate in Executive Leadership, and is a certified Change Management and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Wyle currently volunteers as Chair of the Vancouver Board of Trade’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Regional Board Member at the Nature Conservancy of Canada and Member of the University of Victoria’s Impact Investing Advisory Council. He is also Co-Founder of the Yemeni Canadian Society, Past Board Member at MOSAIC and an Ambassador for the University of Victoria’s Business School where he was recognized as one of the University’s 25 Alumni to Watch. Earlier this year, Wyle was also recognized as one of Canada’s Top 25 Immigrants.
