The Canadian Housing Survey offers valuable insights into housing needs, conditions and experiences from a sample of Canadian households. Its primary objective is to better understand the housing needs of Canadians, particularly those in vulnerable priority groups. The Canadian Housing Survey is conducted biennially across 10 provinces since 2018 by Statistics Canada in partnership with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
At this webinar, Statistics Canada and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation will present:
- An overview of the 2022 Canadian Housing Survey (released on September 10, 2024) including the concepts, data, data access, and analytical products related to the most recent survey.
- A focus on the themes of housing affordability and Canadians’ satisfaction with housing affordability from the 2022 survey cycle.
- An examination of the changes since the last survey cycle and information on key groups including recent renters, first-time homebuyers, and those living in social and affordable housing.
