Cultus Lake Park

Cultus Lake, BC

Public Space

Cultus Lake Park is the lower mainland of BC's best-kept secret! It is only about one hour away from Vancouver, yet you are in the country.

It’s still a working person’s place, where everyday people can still afford to take their families. It’s in the country, yet so close to the city! It has so much green space to enjoy – in winter, spring, summer, and fall. The lake itself is still untouched, with most of its shores still pristine wilderness, not filled with luxury condos/houses. That's the best part.

The Sunnyside campground in Cultus Lake is a special place all by itself. Campers can come in for 5 months a year and set up their own little paradise. In the fall, everyone moves out with dreams of next year. These are everyday families, who love this space as if it was their own.

You need a place for the everyday family to go. It seems like as soon as a nice place gets popular, it is taken over by people with more resources than the average family, and soon families can't enjoy it. Somehow, Cultus Lake continues to be an affordable, family-driven place, where kids can still play outside!

Originally left to the village in a will, the best part of Cultus Lake is that it hasn't changed much over the last 60 years. Let’s hope it stays that way.
