Along the LaHave River is a beautiful park for strolling, sitting, having a picnic or walking your dog, Beautiful trees, flowers and river scenery.

There are adequate parking areas, nice main trails with offshoots through the woods. Tables and benches are placed along the route, shaded by the huge overhang of trees and cooled by the breezes off the LaHave River. Sit and watch the boats on the river while you have your lunch. There is walking access in winter too.

I go there most days. Groups do come here from the seniors’ homes and specialty homes from Lunenburg. It gives you a place to go to relax and contemplate your life. You can enjoy the scenery and light breezes while being shaded by the giant trees in summer. Walking in winter is possible, but the main trail is not plowed.
