Bio

Expression of Interest

Since 1999, I have been involved with the Planning Institute of British Columbia at both the Chapter level and Board level, and proudly served on the PIBC Board of Directors for 8 years including as PIBC President from 2015 to 2017. During my time as PIBC President, I was able to connect with the various affiliates across the country as well as gain a greater understanding of CIP and its Board of Directors. In 2015, I also witnessed first-hand both the near dissolution of CIP and, more importantly, the rebirth and rejuvenation of CIP as a much stronger and strategic national organization for planners and the planning profession.

I firmly believe that CIP is well positioned to continue to lead the national conversation on topics including climate change, indigenous reconciliation, asset management, and the national housing strategy. CIP is also the platform to showcase Canadian planning principles and practices on an international stage. I would be honoured to have an opportunity to serve on the CIP Board of Directors, and continue to elevate our profession by developing healthy and resilient communities across Canada and beyond.
