I graduated from the University of Manitoba Master of City Planning program in 2000 and began working for the Regional District of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Two years later I moved to the City of Victoria where I was engaged in both current and long range planning. In 2008, I joined the Town of View Royal as the Director of Development Services.
I achieved full membership in CIP in 2003; in 2005 I was elected to the Planning Institute of BC; and in 2007 became President-Elect. I served on PIBC Council until 2013, concurrently served on CIP Council, and was the program chair for the 2013 national conference in Vancouver (INFUSE).
Recently, I followed my curiosity and entered the doctoral program at the University of Victoria in Geography. I’m currently a PhD Candidate and am finalizing my research proposal. To keep life balanced, I love taking cooking lessons wherever I travel, hiking and biking the trails of Victoria and spending time at the beach with the dog.
